I have to say, I'm quite the meticulous shopper when it comes to makeup. An array of choice especially from pressed powder department. I lurk around the net and I saw a product that  immediately caught  attention, a pressed powder that goes by the name NATURACTOR PRESSED POWDER as I read from their website I saw that this is under Kosmeko a very well known cosmetic company from japan. I tried their other make up products before like foundations and they are quite the catch!  I just want a taste of it, and see how great it is, so without second thoughts I decided to purchase the product online and VoilĂ ! I fell head over heels with the product! That is why I decided to do a make a review about this pressed powder! To share you all beautiful people out there my makeup assemblage.

A complete Saga of me and this powder

I've been using this face powder for over a month now and would like to let you know what I think. I've been sticking with this product for a while now simply because it is the right companion for my skin desire next thing I recognize I got totally fanatical with this product  because the feeling you get when it is applied was fantastic, A “Charming” result rather than the heavy cakey mash look you get from other powders. You know how some powders can have a slobbish look on the skin? This product doesn’t feel like that. It feels a little bit natural and relax. I really love the overall product  that is the obvious reason why I did this review upon this powder Packaging is elegant  it is also a travel friendly companion. For anyone wanting to have a powder with amazing coverage ,ease of application on the face, and most importantly the quality result definitely give the Nauractor pressed powder a try!  It is very affordable  at $14.95. They do come in a variety of shades and after all the quality is what you are paying for!  (Just a friendly reminder to you all lovely ladies!)

Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Eye Duo

This isn't such a great week for Avon & Me. First my hopes for the Lotus Shield were dashed, and now I'm disappointed by another product that sounded so good on paper and looked great in the tube.

Jillian Dempsey for Avon Professional Eye Duo is a GREAT idea -- it combines a shimmery liquid shadow on one end with a coordinating liquid liner on the other. I tried it in White with Jet Black eyeliner.

But, for starters, the "white" liquid shadow isn't white; it's a pinkish champagne with white shimmer -- which is definitely better than straight-up white shadow, but then why not just call it Champagne?

The shadow applies easily with a sponge doefoot applicator and dries quickly; however, it's not very pigmented and it's REALLY pale--if you have a darker skin tone you might want to go with one of the other three shades. I do like the iridescent quality of it, though, and I may reach for it in the future as a highlighter.

The other end, the black liquid liner, was what really disappointed me. The formula is thin and a little watery, so once the first stroke starts to drag out, the liner loses its intensity and opacity. You might need to go in for another dip to finish the job. Additionally, the brush is a little too soft. With liquid liners, a good brush is CRITICAL. If you're new to the medium, this isn't a great one to start with; the soft brush makes it too easy to make the line too thick or lose control of it. I'm a pretty experienced user of liquid liners and I was able to get a nice even line with this, but it's just not the best of the bunch. It also took upwards of 20 seconds to dry fully.

Overall, it was okay, but I'd never buy it and can't really recommend it. Another one I wanted to love but just couldn't. Bummer!

Self-Tanner Review Series: Victoria's Secret Beach Sexy Gradual Tan Moisturizer SPF15

I LOVE a tanner with some SPF. You can slather it on in the morning and go about your day knowing that not only are you protected from the sun, but you'll be tan by dinnertime!

Victoria's Secret Beach Sexy Daily Glow Gradual Tan Moisturizer SPF15 is the reincarnation of VS's last gradual tanner, Bare Bronze Daily Glow. That one was a favorite of mine for both scent and effectiveness, so I was curious to try the new version and see if anything had changed.

Well, we know there's now SPF 15 in it -- that's a plus. And the scent is the same (praise the beauty gods!). I love the smell of this tanner; it's beachy, tropical and coconutty, and it masks most of the DHA smell without interfering with it and creating some hellish, putrid hybrid.

The one thing that disappoints me is that the potency has changed. It's now absolutely identical to Bath & Body Works Glow & Steady in both texture and potency. This is not necessarily a bad thing on its own; Glow & Steady is one of my favorite gradual self tanners. The problem is that the original Bare Bronze came in two concentrations, and the Medium/Deep was nearly as powerful as a full strength tanner. This new Beach Sexy gets you tan, but not as quickly as the old one (it comes in only one concentration).

Overall, though, a great pick! If you like Glow & Steady but not the scent, try this one instead. Or if you're just looking for a great gradual self tanner that smells fabulous and protects you from the sun's rays, go for it!

Get the Emmy Look: Emily Blunt

Get the Emmy Look: Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt hit the red carpet at the 2010 Emmys looking fabulous and glowing (I'd be glowing too if I just married John Krasinski!).

Makeup artist Jenn Streicher used By Terry Rose de Rose blush in Fresh Rose on Emily's cheeks, created her smokey eye with Cle de Peau quad eyeshadow in #14, and finished the lips with Tom Ford lipstick in Pink Dusk. For an allover glow, she usedSt. Tropez Skin Illuminator.

Hairstylist Laini Reeves, who also styled the hair for Emily's recent wedding, usedMoroccanoil products to create a fresh yet sophisticated look inspired by the iconic finger waves of the '20s. Check out Laini's tips to recreate the look for your next special occasion:
  • "I first shampooed Emily’s hair with Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo to leave it soft, shiny and well conditioned for the intricacies of styling.

  • After mixing a cocktail of Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream and the originalMoroccanoil Treatment, I worked the blend from the middle to the ends of the hair to control ends and flyaways and provide natural-looking, soft hold.

  • Next, I made a low side-part on the right and then pincurled the hair in alternating patterns towards the left and behind the right side. Since Emily’s gown had a beautiful beaded accent on the right shoulder, I wanted to place the hair behind the ear to show this off. (I made the pincurls in the classic way, pinning three alternate rows of of them (anti-clockwise/clockwise/anti-clockwise).

  • I then misted Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray on Emily’s wet hair and let it air-dry for one hour while make-up was applied. I didn’t use a hairdryer this time since I didn’t want the hair to appear blown in any way. I wanted it to look authentic with all the ends nice and neat, so the waves would look softer yet controlled when they were brushed.

  • Once Emily’s hair had air-dried, I released the pincurls and raked my fingers through her hair. I used a panel brush to keep her hair flat to the head so it wouldn’t disturb the root movement of the wave, and gently brushed from part to ends so her hair fell into a lovely wave.

  • Finally, I shaped and styled the flow of the look by framing the left side of Emily’s face with a cascade of waves. (I placed a hidden pair pin to hold it in place.)

  • To accent the look, I attached a diamond accessory in the hair above the right ear (I crossed two bobby pins, clipped on the earring, and sewed it in with silver thread).

  • Since we wanted the style to look a bit shorter and also accent the nape of her neck, I created a pincurled, textured effect there at the nape.

  • I finished the look with a quick mist of argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to give the hair a beautiful hold without compromising on softness, movement or shine."

Get the Emmy Look: January Jones

January Jones' makeup at the 2010 Emmy Awards was gorgeous--very simple and classic--but aye, where was her hairstylist? Anyhow, let's focus on the makeup, since honestly, there's not much to say about that hair. Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin was inspired by "Irving Penn's iconic photos of his wife/supermodel Lisa Fonssagrives, whose signature extended eyeliner symbolizes the epitome of elegance." The rundown:
  • "I used CHANEL Liquid Eyeliner in Noir along the lash line for an exaggerated cat eye effect, adding extra lashes on just the very outer edges for added length.

  • I then applied two coats of inimitable CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir on the top lashes and one coat of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Purple on the bottom lashes.

  • The rest of the face I kept understated using minimal foundation, pale pink cream cheek colour and CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Confidence on her lips.

  • I finished the look by dusting her brow bone and lids with a loose iridescent pearl shadow with a hint of purple to play off the super reflective quality of her dress."
